School Shows
Performing
school assembly shows is the very best way to learn how to perform for
all ages
and groups of audiences. But, it's not a road to riches! You'll perform
for kinder garden to
college age audiences. Your 45 minute show should be able to be set up
in less than ten minutes
and torn down and packed away in the same time.
You need plenty of comedy and audience participation, but have a fast
flashy opening to impress
them that you know your stuff. I used card fan productions into a top
hat, Hamman's Fan Ta See,
vanishing cane to silks and confetti, then Blendo and fire bowl
production to flowers, then I did my
first talking trick with What's Next (spot card).
The rest of my show were the classics: Egg Bag, Misers Dream, Linking
Rings, Die Box, etc.
I finished with the Head Sword Box.
National School Assemblies said that I was the highest rated magician
they had had in 35 years.
