I
saw Jose Frakson (Jose Jiminez Seville) perform at a theater show in
the early 1960's.
He performed his amazing cigarette catching routine in which he caught seemingly an endless
number of lit cigarettes from the air, swallowing some and then blowing out clouds of smoke
even after swallowing a glass of water. He also performed an amazing Misers Dream, Jumbo
Rising Cards and "What's Next" but the card was facing the audience during the changes!
I visited him in his home in Los Angeles many times and he was the same friendly, gracious, heavily
accented person there that he played on stage. In other words, he was genuine, the real article!
